Right this topic sure is a heated one and I suppose one thing to think about is this view that couples are meant to stay together forever.
I mean if one looks at the animal world rarely does any mammal have a life long partner. So are human couples meant to stay together forever. And if so what is it that makes us think this way. Why can’t it just be “normal” to have several sexual partners? I guess this practise is being done somewhat by the younger generation but I just think this is were religion does come in handy with its “rules” regarding adultery in the hopes of making man more human like than animals.
Or maybe perhaps we are meant to have several partners and its only been instilled to us through religion that we are to be with one partner our whole lives. It certainlty seems safer that route though with the alarming increase in STD's for both teenagers and people over 30.
